TOP 5 winter activities in Tallinn


1. Ice skating in old town

Have you ever tried to Ice Skate? When did you last skated? In the heart of the Old Town there's an outdoor ice rank opened till quite a late in the evening. It's a perfect opportunity to enjoy the weather and have a great time, no matter if you are with friends or alone. Also there's music playing all the time which makes it even more enjoyable. If you need some cheering up or just want to do some out door activity.- that's a perfect way to start.

Where is it? The rink is located adjacent Harju street, next to the Niguliste Church

Open from 10:00 to 22:00 daily.

Prices per hour are as follows: Monday to Thursday, children (4 to 15 years) 35kr, adults (16 and older) 55kr, Friday to Sunday, children 40kr, adults 70kr. Skate rental (1 hr) for sizes 24 - 36 is 20kr, for sizes 37 - 47, 25kr. Note that using your own skates is also permitted. Toilets, lockers and café on site.

2. Sledging at Song Festival Ground

Sledging is probably one of the oldest and most popular activities in Estonia. Slope of the Lasnamäe hill opposite to the stage is open to everybody for 24 hrs. Music plays all day and it is lighted in the evening. And it's free! Ask for a sledge from the reception and also take some hot tea with you! :)

How to get there? Busses 19, 29, 35, 44, 51, 60 and 63 from Viru keskus bus treminal to Oru stop, busses 1A, 5, 8, 34A, 38 from Viru keskus bus terminal to Lauluväljak stop.


3. Snowtubing

It is one winter attraction you don’t want to miss! Everyone can do it. There’s no need for special and expensive equipment, no special skills needed. Just sit on the tube and lets go! They provide the tube - you have the fun! In Mustamäe, next to ski jumping hill, is opened Estonian's longest and fastest snowtubing lane.

How to get there: Bus no 36 from Viru to Nõmme stop. After getting of, it's about 5 minutes walk to get there.

4. Skiing and skating in Nömme

Fancy skiing or skating? You can do it in Nömme you just need to rent pair of skis or skates and you are ready to enjoy Estonian winter.

5. Sky Park

When the weather is too gold and too wet and you just don't feel like doing something outside, then Sky Park is a perfect place to spend your time. There's a unique trampoline court, the fact that's the only one in Europe makes it even more unique! :) There's a super friendly atmosphere also add to it a large foam-cube pool and a whack of wacky tricycles, skateboards, sumo outfits and you're pretty much guaranteed the time of your life. There's a snack bar so you can fuel up on caffeine, or sugar, which we all know helps us to jump higher.
