Once upon a time this 13th-century church was the tallest building in the world. Nowadays its smaller, 124-metre steeple still dwarfs most of Tallinn’s buildings and remains an important symbol of the town. In summertime it is highly recommended to make an effort and climb the steps up to the tower.  Yes, climbing, no lift was built in 13th century! After a vigorous climb to the top of the stone portion of the tower enjoy the magnificent panorama view over the Old Town, the port and the sea.

Town Hall  Tower
In summer, you can climb the tower’s long, spiral staircase to the top for some truly amazing views of Old Town and the city centre. To reach the belfry at the height of 34 meters you have to take 115 steps on the caracole. The steps are steep and high.  But the view makes the effort well worthy.
Where is it: Town Hall Square, in the heart of Tallinn Old Town. The entrance is next to café "Tristan & Isolde".

Kohtu and Patkuli view platforms
There are four locations on Toompea Hill which offer great views and secluded hideaways for your pleasure. We recommend the Kohtu and Patkuli platforms. From here, sweeping views of the town, its red-tiled roofs, its towers, its walls and all of its charm open up. Get your camera ready!

Lounge 24
If you are not so into climbing, take the elevator to  Lounge 24  in Radisson Blu- a stunning roof top bar with its open air terrace and marvellous view of the city and the sea.  Lounge 24 is on the 24th floor of the hotel, 90 metres from street level. Open to everyone.
